Refund & Cancellation Policy

Important Notice: This refund and cancellation policy is part of our General Terms and Conditions and can be found in section 9 of our Terms and Conditions.

Tchoice B.V., trading as MyLicenceAssistant, is committed to compliance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This policy outlines your statutory rights in relation to the cancellation of contracts concluded at a distance, and our procedures for handling refund requests.

Article 9. Refunds and Cancellations

9.1 Right to Cancel

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Customer has the legal right to cancel the Agreement within fourteen (14) calendar days, starting from the day after the Agreement is confirmed to the Customer. The Customer is not required to provide a reason for cancellation within this period.

9.2 Loss of Right to Cancel

This statutory right to cancel will be lost once the service has been fully performed and formal confirmation of completion has been sent to the Customer. As disclosed in 4.4 and 4.5, the Company starts commencing the agreement after receival of the payment and the Customer agrees that the right to cancel will be forfeited once the service has been completed in full before the expiry of the statutory 14-day cancellation period.

9.3 Cancellation Process

The Customer must submit a request to cancel the Agreement via the model Cancellation Form, which is available on our website. The Customer will receive a receipt of cancellation after the Company has received the cancellation.

9.4 Refund Entitlement

Refund entitlement in case of cancellation depends on the status of the service at the time of cancellation:

Full Refund

Not yet commenced within 14-day cooling period

Partial Refund (50%)

Commenced without completing within the 14 day cooling period

No Refund

Fully performed within the 14-day cooling period

No Refund

Cancellation outside of the 14-day cooling period

9.5 Service Fee Refunds Only

Refunds will only be made for our service fee. We do not process or refund official TV Licence payments.

9.6 Method and Timing of Refund

Any refund that is due to you will be processed within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date we receive your valid cancellation request. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

9.7 Burden of Proof

The burden of proof regarding the correct and timely exercise of the right of cancellation and a potential refund lies with the Customer. If the Customer exercises this right, all supplementary agreements are automatically terminated.
